
Krista Butler

Krista Butler is a versatile soprano known for her expressive artistry and sparkling tone. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Voice from The University of Texas at Austin, where she developed a strong foundation in both solo and ensemble performance. Her operatic highlights include portraying Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte and Mimì in La Bohème with Spotlight on Opera, as well as La Ciesca in Gianni Schicchi with the Butler Opera Center.
In addition to her solo work, Krista is a seasoned choral artist with extensive experience singing with ensembles such as the Austin Civic Chorus, Austin Vocal Arts Ensemble, Richardson Contemporary Chorale, and the Allen Symphony Chorus. With the Allen Symphony Chorus, she has been featured as a soloist in major works including Mozart’s Requiem, Gospel Mass, an Opera Showcase, and an Anime Concert.
A dedicated music educator, Krista has taught elementary music for 15 years and currently serves in Allen ISD. She completed her Kodály Certification at Southern Methodist University in 2024, further enhancing her pedagogical expertise. Krista is also an accomplished conductor. She is the assistant conductor for the Allen Symphony Chorus and serves as an assistant conductor with the Greater Dallas Choral Society.
Krista currently lives in Allen, Texas with her husband, David, and their two sons, Blake and Sam.
